Bronze & Silver Arts Award: If you are looking for a venue where your group can take part in an arts activity we can offer photography, drawing & painting, or clay workshops.
Chapel Art Studios is a studio group of experienced, professional artists, working toward the goal of enabling more children to experience the arts.
Our education programme can bring Arts Award courses and workshops to your organisation or community.
Our artists work with video, painting, sculpture, installation, photography, digital technology, drawing, textiles and more. They give talks, run workshops, and can deliver projects to a handful of pupils or a whole school: for an afternoon or for several months!
We have built fires, used potatoes, created film sets, invented archives, formed publishing groups and so on, all whilst stretching the way a person thinks, connects and questions.
Our greatest asset is the ability to creatively adapt to situations, and deliver inventive solutions that challenge and test a participant.
City Eye create exciting opportunities for young people of all ages to engage with film and video.
We offer practical skills development workshops to deepen the understanding of the filmmaking process and screenings supported with activity designed to encourage analysis and interpretation and create dialogue around film.
Workshops and activities can take place at City Eye’s facilities at Studio 144 in Southampton or within school / school college and can accessed by groups or individuals who have embarked on their Arts Award Journey.
FolkActive run lively folk music and dance workshops for schools and community groups, bringing local culture, history and traditions to life in active, creative and relevant ways.
From country dancing and ceilidhs to broom dancing, mummers plays and more, children are able to experience, to understand and then to own traditionally based activities as their ideas are encouraged and included.
Workshops can be tailored to each school’s locality and individual requirements, whether enriching and enlivening local studies or commemorating significant or seasonal events.
We always use live music, and enjoy developing short performances through which a new generation can celebrate our folk heritage!

Mayflower Theatre is the largest theatre in South England and offer a wide programme of musical theatre, drama, dance, comedy and family shows. We offer discounts for groups, schools and students, as well as Youth Membership and Community First Nights.
As a receiving venue, Mayflower has unique access to industry practitioners and offers workshops, talks, tours, Q&A's and work experience placements.

The Point & Berry Theatre offers a range of opportunities to collaborate with our creative team and professional artists to complete your Arts Award from Discover and Explore to Gold level.
Participate in workshops, see professional performances, and participate in post-show talks with the artists. We also offer opportunities for work experience and a chance to tour the theatre.
We can support individuals or groups including those with additional needs.
Showcase Gallery runs free, artist-led workshops in the Gallery providing bespoke creative workshops inspired by the yearly exhibition programme and linked to Curriculum learning.
We offer a regular programme of workshops designed to inspire and encourage new approaches and techniques. Skilled artists will imaginatively engage pupils and stretch their abilities in new directions. A finished artwork is usually the outcome of each workshop.
Example workshop:
Street Jam Live - Outdoor Street Art - an opportunity to learn new approaches to creating art based on techniques used by artists who work outdoors - Spray painting, chalk street drawing and large scale acrylic painting to create a large scale collaborative artwork to be made in Southampton Guildhall Square and Southampton parks.
Workshops can be tailored to suit, minimum time of 1.5 hours required through to full day workshops. Usual max pupils/students is 30 but can be discussed and age ranges are from 2 – 92.
